Welcome I encourage you all to take advantage of these courses that will be available for beginners and more. The types of services offered will be introductory level, level 1, level 2, level 3, and THIS IS A SPECIAL BENEFIT FOR ALL FAMILIES AND LEARNERS. Why because I'm a deaf person who has grown up in both communities and has had the experience where is miss interpreted as a Hearing Person because I am an oral speaking deaf person.
All About Me
Well what can I say about myself I, ve had an interesting up bring in a hearing family. Both my parents did their best to raise deaf children into this world without any support of Auslan it was always speech first. This is a great opportunity to give a full background on who I am, and what I can offer to support families, children, adults and teachers who are new to this environment, and what my site has to offer. Here's a little story about me yes I'm verbal and have loved being a part of that life, I have 5 beautiful boys and my husband who are all hearing go to mainstream school.
I also work as ALM and have played Netball for QLD Deaf at Australia Deaf Games as well as Netball for the hearing team loved every minute of it, so don’t be afraid to ask me any questions.
I'll be honest it has been challenging in life to be a deaf oral speaking person, not understanding English, writing and socialising. But I'm still achieving goals studying bachelor education, I, ve complected Certificate IV in Education support learning, Certificate IV Auslan and I experience working with students with special needs.
So how I started my business was just hearing how so many families that are hearing find it hard to learn to communicate with their children, that are deaf or non-verbal it's very frustrating to hear.
So I did talk about this to friends and family they said do it you can only try. My core values, and commitment to customers including how I see my business is I,m very much a part of the deaf community and support their values and culture and respect their way. I will be in between work and my family to support my service.
